Escape Along The Route of the Mimosas

Every winter, I plan to set out on the Route du Mimosa to take in the gorgeous winter color that pops along the trail into the coastline of the Var. I am doing it this year, who wants to join? It sounds like the time is now and once there’s a pop of sun back on the agenda, I am hopping in the car to not only take in the mimosas, but also to head to Grasse, one of the premiere destinations in the world for luxury perfume production.

Between December and March, the mimosas bring brilliant yellow color along the turquoise coastlines through the Corniche des Maures massif of Tanneron, the Corniche de l’Esterel hills, and gardens throughout the valleys and hillsides which are covered with the fluffy, yellow flowers. The Route of Mimosas is 130 km of pure happiness between Bormes les Mimosas and Grasse (Maritime Alps).
