Les Maisons Imaginaires
I was invited for a photoshoot to discover this regal and beautifully designed property, La Bastide des Chardons, recently restored by one of Provence’s top design firms, Bosc Architects. This multidisciplinary design firm is run by two passionate, architect brothers, Jean & Arthur Bosc, whose stunning offices are located in the center ville of Saint Rémy de Provence.

Bosc Architects are behind a number of high-profile restoration and luxury design projects throughout Provence and are known for their high-quality design aesthetics, use of noble, natural materials and integrity to preserve the original character of each of their projects, integrating the structure’s original design elements as much as possible. Originally founded by their father, Hugo, the talented family of architects have amassed an impressive design portfolio of: luxury mas, bastides, and châteaux in the region. They also work on commercial projects, such as restaurants and hotels, like the iconic Baumanière, and have designed the wine cellars for the domaine at Trévalon. They are increasingly in demand for renovating and designing new, luxury vacation homes that honor the authentic Provence luxury aesthetic which are often used for seasonal rentals or boutique hotels. This new work direction has lead them to create own curated collection of vacation properties called Les Maisons Imaginaires. The bastide featured here, La Bastide de Chardon, is one of those magical properties, an oasis with impeccably designed gardens, architectural details and refined interiors right in the center of the sleepy, Provence village of Eyragues.
Throughout their projects, they integrate antique sourced, heirloom pieces paired with pure modern amenities into the renovation to maintain a feeling of authentic luxury, something I deeply appreciate, that gives each of their projects a soul. To complete their services, the duo have also created their own design firm, Bosc Design, focusing on locally sourced materials and simplistic, humble design elements inspired by the region, to create their own interior furnishings from furniture, to light fixtures, sinks and more that fit in harmony within their projects. They have collaborated with local textile manufacturer, Olivades for their Provencal, garden chair line. They are the perfect brand partners to set the stage for my Bastide Collection and look forward to our next design collaboration. For now, here’s a little peek at their La Bastide de Chardon x Luxe Provence together. To discover more about their design work, visit their website here or request a visit of their hip, new loft in Saint Rémy for your next event.
